Refletion On Manjari Sharma
This article gave me a whole new perspective of portraits. That they aren't just a close shot of a person but its a true connection between the photographer and the model. The intimacy between Sharma's photos are outstandingly deep and show true emotions of the person. In her photos you can see how vulnerable each person is and a difference that you normally would expect. Her creative way of taking pictures in a shower really brought out her pictures and her as a photographer to take that extra step out there. To be unique and have her own style really is what made her photos more special. Im truly inspired by her work and am excited to try and use the help of connection with models when i do a portrait of someone.

In this assignment, while working with photoshop was a difficult but yet fun task to complete. At first I had no clue what I was going to design or create. As I got the hang of it, ideas quickly came and I personally feel that I understand the concept of using paint brushes as well using our space wisely. We were told to use colors that compliment and are opposite colors on the color wheel in order to make our photo stand out. Overall i think im more aware of how to use brushes and would be able to work with it again which more ease . For the picture above this photo our assignment was to fulfill and follow a photoshop tutorial. I have to admit I have many troubles with following but I eventually took my time and truly grasped what I was reading and applyed it and finally completed the task of softening our picture. After pulling through this assignment after a struggle I do feel I need more practice with softening pictures. But as far as following a tutorial I feel I I've gained the ability to understand better.

Studio Lighting Assignment. I see a boy and a white background. This is an figurative piece and is not too close but neither is it far. This image is in focus and was done intentionally. This picture is dark but i like the way the contrast showed in it. The assignment was studio lighting so it was taken indoors. I had a great learning experience working with the hot lights and dealing with a drop down. It was somewhat difficult dealing with just a white drop down but i worked my way through and in result i got a good picture. I feel i could have dont better but theres always room for improvement for the future. I do think if i was given this assignment again i would do a better job because looking back a realized and figured out better techinques and ideas. In the outcome i believe my work was successful with minor errors.

Photoshop Assignment. In this assignment I feel I have learned many new task and grasped the basic concept of using photoshop. I had a few difficulties but I think I did a decent job. I could use more practice, because I am a slight bit confused in certain areas. Photoshop does take a lot of skills to understand the correct ways and purpose on using it. So I believe if i work with photoshop a couple more times ill eventually get the hang of it. Overall i think my work is ok but i do feel i could have done better. Im also looking forward to improving as much as i can in future assignments.
